Community Appreciation for Joanne Drummond

On Friday, June 29^th there will be a Community Appreciation picnic for Joanne Drummond, celebrating her 12 years of dedication and accomplishments in furthering fire safety in Nevada County as Executive Director of the Fire Safe Council of Nevada County.

Joanne has taken a new Regional Position with PG&E as the Vegetation Program Manager in the North Division.  She is coordinating implementation of new fuel hazard reduction treatments along major power lines. This will allow her to have impact in a broader geographical area, however she is leaving us as a more prepared and organized fire safe community! 

This will be a free, BYO picnic hosted by friends of Joanne.  All are welcome! The family friendly event will start at 5 pm at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley.  Bring your own food and picnic blanket or chairs. There will be short tributes by several community leaders, colleagues and friends.
